Helpful Tips For An Organized Home & Office
Who doesn’t want a room or space dedicated solely to you and your personal hobbies, likes and interests – a place to escape too where you’re surrounded by the many objects that make you happy, creative, relaxed and content. Enter the “she shed” and the “he shed” or “man cave.”
The day has finally come where you’re ready to start planning for a beautiful custom closet in your bedroom. You have lots of ideas swimming in your head, but where do you start? There are closet companies readily available, and of course, we want a shot at designing you a perfect space! But to make your hunt a little simpler for you, we’ll help you with your decision on LA-based closet company Closet World.
Even though the term “mudroom” can conjure images of haphazard boots and shoes on the floor, coats strewn about and a wet, messy entry area, a well-designed space for entering and exiting your home will be anything but!
Like most home improvement projects there are that ones that illicit a ho-hum feeling (think a new HVAC system) and others that knock you off your feet, have you posting to social media and inviting friends over for the big reveal.
Garages aren’t just for parking your car. In fact, some garages have yet to see a car. Instead, they’re busy serving other functions like playroom, sports storage, home gym, workshop, etc. The common denominator, however, for all these functions to work well is organization and durability.
Sharing isn’t always caring – especially when it comes to closets! Who wants to add another person into the mix when space is at a premium or you simply just want it all to yourself?
Like most products we purchase and projects we embark upon, there are three price points: the bare bones, the sky’s the limit and somewhere in between. Custom closets are no different. Luckily, there companies (like ours!) that give you a bit more bang for your buck by not charging exorbitant prices for items that add value and convenience to your space. That said, there are certainly design choices that lend themselves to a more lux approach and others that are strictly for convenience. Places you may want to spend less are for closets that are rarely used, but in high traffic spots like a child’s room closet or your own walk-in you may want to splurge just a little bit more.
Chances are, one of the places you and your crew hang out most (outside the kitchen!) is in the family room – this is where you likely entertain your guests, play games, stream music and watch TV and movies. It may also be a spot carved out for storage and your main gallery for showing off personal items and photos.
We are continuing our two-part blog on the creative and useful accessories you can have installed in your new built-in closet!
Each custom closet our talented designers and craftsmen created is unique because, well, they’re custom! During the process of choosing the size, the cabinet finishes and the hardware, the topic of what extra cabinet features to include becomes very important.
